Kajol Resumes Work


Kajol reportedly resumed work in April after a six month hiatus following the birth of her second child, son Yug, on September 13, 2010.

Kajol and husband Ajay Devgn's first born, daughter Nyasa, was born on April 20, 2003.

According to a Mid Day source, the talented actress has been filming TV commercials for brands that she endorses and works on week days only.

She has also signed on as brand ambassador for two new brands.

Kajol has not yet signed on for a new film.

She last appeared on the big screen in We Are Family (2010) with co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. The film was an average box office performer.

Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh in Deleted Band Baaja Baaraat Scenes

Yash Raj Films have posted a 12m 6s long video containing scenes that didn't make it to the final 140 min cut of their delightful film Band Baaja Baaraat. We don't think you can afford to miss the video.

The film released on December 10, 2010.

Made on a modest budget of Rs 10 crore, it grossed Rs 21.44 crore at the box office, and won many awards for lead pair Anushka Sharma and debutant Ranveer Singh; director and writer Maneesh Sharma; choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, editor Namrata Rao and other team members.

Salman Khan And Katrina Kaif 'Ek Tha Tiger'

Salman Khan And Katrina Kaif Here are the photos of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif released today with the announcement by Yash Raj Films of their new project – Ek Tha Tiger.

As we reported earlier, the film is a romantic thriller written by Aditya Chopra, to be directed by Kabir Khan for Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Kabir Khan has also written the screen play and dialogs along with Neelesh Misra. Salman Khan And Katrina Kaif 'Ek Tha Tiger'

Aseem Mishra, who earlier worked with Kabir on New York , will be the DOP.

The music will be scored by Pritam.

Ek Tha Tiger starts shooting early July and is slated for a mid-2012 release.

Sonakshi Sinha Adorable at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards

Sonakshi Sinha looked resplendent in a pink anarkali dress embellished with oversized golden paisley designs at the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards 2011 Tuesday noon, May 3 at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

The 23-year-old, who was accompanied to the event by mother Poonam Sinha, was named the Best Debutant of the Year Female for her role in Dabangg with so-star Salman Khan. Dabangg, additionally fetched Arbaaz Khan an award for Best Debut Producer of the Year.

Sonakshi was perhaps the only honorees not wearing a saree amidst Bollywood female stars at the event.

Sonakshi's ankle length anarkali top had long sheer sleeves, a mandarin collar ending into a V neckline.

She accessorized with golden mojaris, gold statement earrings and her signature gold nose pin.

Her soft wavy hair styled with a middle parting draped her left shoulder. Shimmering pink lipstick, thick cat eyeliner, golden eyeshadow and a smudged red bindi rounded her radiant looks.

Sonakshi had to wait an hour for her turn to receive the award while Ranveer Singh, the recipient of Male Debutant of the Year Award was attended to within 30 minutes of his arrival into the auditorium. She did not hide her irritation over the delay but Ashok Shekhar, Director Events of Dada Saheb Phalke Awards had this to say:

"Ranveer and Anushka had come from Agra where they were shooting and had to board a return 1.30pm flight. In case of Sonakshi no time limit was given to us and since she is a happening celeb, we thought of en-cashing her presence," Shekhar told Daily Bhaskar.

At the event Sonakshi and her mother spent time bonding with veteran character artist and now junior artist association's top boss Mr. Chandrashekhar and Dharmendra.

Anushka Sharma Ravishing in Red at 2011 Dada Phalke Awards


Anushka Sharma wowed in bridal inspired red sari and gold jewelry at the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards 2011 Tuesday noon, May 3 at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

Anushka, 23 and Ranveer Singh, 25, arrived at the Awards function together from Agra where the pair is filming for YRF production Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl.

Both the young stars were honored at the event for their performance in Band Baaja Baaraat - Anushka for Excellent Performance in a Film and Ranveer for Best Debut of the Year.

Anushka looked demure in her red sari with a thin gold border and a matching cap sleeve backless blouse.

She accessorized with gold strappy heels and statement gold jewelry - chunky necklace, matching jhumkas, thick bangle in her right arm and multiple rings.

She seems to have shortened her hair by a few inches. Her hair was styled in luscious waves with an off center parting.

She wore cat eye liner, eyelash extensions, cherry lipstick and a small red bindi.

Ranveer looked dapper in a Grey silk suit, white shirt and a sleek pin stripe tie. He is sporting long hair and a stubble, his look for the Casanova role in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl.

The pair presented an Award to Asha Parekh.

"I'm truly elated and it's a very prestigious award because he is the visionary of the Indian film industry and to get such an honor at such a young age for me is extremely motivating and encouraging and I hope that whatever little I'm trying to do in the industry, if it makes even slightest of mark, it will make me happy," said Anushka at the event.

"Quite clearly this is the most prestigious award that I've received till now. It's a very big day for me. Its amazing to be here and to be receiving this award," said Ranveer.

The two actors were escorted to the stage soon after their arrival as the duo had to return to Agra by the 1.30pm flight.

Rani Mukerji Delightfully Demure at 2011 Dadasaheb Phalke Awards

Rani Mukerji looked angelic in a gorgeous white and golden sari at the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards 2011 on Tuesday, May 3 at Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

The 33-year-old Bongshell was honored for her outstanding performance in the role of a TV journalist in "No One Killed Jessica." The award was presented to her by Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, 75, himself a recipient of the Phalke Ratan award in recognition of his over five decades in Indian cinema.

Rani paired her gorgeous sari with a sleeveless golden brocade blouse.

Her minimalist look included light jewelry - pearl earrings, pearl nose-pin and a gold coin ring on her right hand ring finger.

Her sleekly styled long dark hair draped her back. She let her dreamy honey brown eyes be the focus of her mesmerizing look. She wore cat eye liner and statement gold specs eyeshadow. Frosty pink lipgloss and a black bindi rounded her gorgeous look.

Rani bonded with Priyanka Chopra at the event, also an awardee. The two posed cheerily for photogs.

Rani was elated with the honor.

"This is my first award for 'Jessica...' and that too this award. So I'm very happy," she told media at the event.

Rani is currently filming for Reema Kagti's Zakhmi with co-stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Aamir Khan was to attend the event as a presenter to give away the Phalke Ratan award to Dharmendra, but he sent an apology last minute giving his lengthy shoot hours as the reason for not making it to the event. Rekha stepped in to do the honors.
